DON'T STOP
In a society where diversity is often judged before it is even recognized, Don't Stop is an invitation to slow down, to pause, and above all, to let ourselves be guided by curiosity and the discovery of others. Through the use of infrared photography, this project undermines superficial vision and encourages us to look deeper, beyond the skin, beyond the visible. The infrared technique allows us to penetrate the superficial layer of the epidermis, revealing what the human eye cannot perceive. In this way, the portraits take on a neutral and universal aspect, while maintaining the dignity and uniqueness of the individual intact. The eyes, made the same color for everyone, become a symbol of equality and a shared view of humanity. The faces, framed in passport-sized photos—the only image that makes us all necessarily equal—arouse a visual tension: the observer is encouraged to get closer, to question themselves, to discover what is not seen at first glance. Curiosity thus becomes a tool for connection, an antidote to prejudice, a driver of empathy. The idea behind this work is to challenge common perceptions and invite us to rediscover the value of diversity through a new, deeper and more authentic perspective. The goal is to show that the faces that truly deserve to be welcomed without prejudice are those that "open up," revealing their essence until they lead us to the infrared portrait. The choice of tissue paper, an extremely fragile and delicate material, symbolizes the sensitivity and care we should have in our approach to knowing others.
